Dominican Republic Vacation |
| See this is the problem with all inclusive clubs. This is what you are
surrounded with on a daily basis. We ended up winning so much cheap rum and
beer that we couldn't drink it all through our trip, so we ended up giving it
away. If you're going to bring back any rum at all, make it Barcelo Imperial.
This rum is amazing. It's so sweet and so smooth. It's been likened to drinking
a fine cognac. Of course on the "Eight
Bottle Night", you'll hear all about Barcelo Imperial. Kind
of a scary thing really. Of course by the end of the second night the
bartenders knew us on sight and were scared. But at least we stuck to the 12pm
rule. We only broke it once. That is having a drink before 12.
(Chino laden with delectable drinks) But, not to worry, the natives are very friendly. I think they were all intimidated by Renez who is 6 ft tall. And towers over most of the natives. Of course Marcos was an oddity as well at 6' 4".(Renez, Fernando and friend, and Marcos) Just to prove that us silly Americans are not the only ones that can be affected by too much rum and coke. Here are the natives in otherworldy fashion. If you're not scared by this picture, you're not looking close enough.(Staff members putting on a stage act.) And this is the big group of us by the end of our second night. We are slowly adding more and more people to our group.
